Once applications have been successful you will then be required to advise the details of the students

Are NSW AECG Camps available for non-Aboriginal students?

The camp is for Aboriginal students only due to our funding body agreement, we hope to open it up for all students in the future, as we understand there is a need.

Will there be camps for each stage?

Yes. NSW AECG Inc. will be delivering camps online and face to face throughout 2023. Early Stage/ Foundation to Stage 2 will only have access to online camps. Stage 3 to Stage 6 will have access to both online and face to face camps. Each camp is aimed at different stage. NSW AECG Inc. will be advertising all Camps through NSW AECG Regions, Locals, website and social media.

Can my school apply for more than one camp?

Yes, your students and school can apply for as many camps as you would like. As long as the camp is targeted at the students school year.

Does a Teacher or Parent need to be supervising students online?

A teacher or parent can log on and off throughout the online camp. The Teacher and/or parent’s role online is to monitor their students, child/children.

How many students can I apply for?

Each EOI will state the camp capacity. If the camp has unlimited capacity you can apply for unlimited students, these camps will be online. Face to face camps will have a limited capacity of attendance, this will vary for each camp. Please check the EOI for the number of students from each School able to apply.

Can Aboriginal students that are home schooled apply?

Yes.

Can Catholic/Independent Schools apply?

Yes they can apply but payment would be needed and spots are limited – however, NSW Department of Education schools will have precedence as we have partnered with them to run the camps.
We have run camps for Catholic/Independent Schools in the past, please contact us to discuss.

Can an AEO be the School representative or does it need to be a Teacher?

Face to face camps require a Teacher to attend the camp with students, please note AEO’s are more than welcome to attend the camp in addition to a Teacher attending from one School. Online camps require supervision in the classroom whilst students are on the Zoom online camp.
